The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services to the community.

SASSA will probably be rendering expert services including new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency explained it is alarmed with regard to the substantial quantity of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the higher amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This really is a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no absolutely functional office dedicated to service the area every day. The service sassa status check issue designed for intervention experiences a higher influx of likely beneficiaries, which makes it challenging for that office to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more sources to help the servicing of all buyers and enhance entry to Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
